The Dead by Daylight closed beta went live on May 31. Players who preordered the Deluxe edition of the game receive 3 beta keys, and those who registered for the beta at PAX will get their beta key by email. The beta will run until June 12.
So, is there another way to receive a Dead by Daylight beta key? You can check out Dead for Daylight’s beta site for an opportunity to get a beta key for you and your friends.
On June 2, 2016 at 5:10 PM EST, the Dead by Daylight twitter tweeted:
When visiting the beta site before 6PM, the site will just have staticky, flashing messages telling the user to return at night. When visiting the site after 6PM, the user will be prompted to verify their age and log into the site through Steam.
After that, a type of mini-game will occur. The user has been attacked and has 30 minutes to be rescued by 3 other friends. The site will prompt the user to share a link with 3 other people in order to be rescued before the 30 minutes are over.
If the user succeeds, they and the 3 other friends will receive keys for the Dead by Daylight beta.
As of now, there seems to be no beta keys left, but the beta website says:
“Whatever lurks in the dark will awake again. So as long as the night rules, you can always come back for another chance.”
Which suggests that there may be more opportunities to get beta keys in the future.
Dead by Daylight is a multiplayer survival horror and action game where four survivors have to escape a crazed killer. Each character, including the killer, is controlled by another player. The survivors must escape before the killer hunts all of them down.
Will you survive the night, or will you be dead by daylight?
