Details, Details, Details!

The expansion on the trading card game has been confirmed for many territories, but the price is official in North America. In the US, we’ll find a 10-card booster pack for $3.99, which will encompass the Mega Evolution mumbo jumbo. Don’t take this lightly though, if you plan on playing the card-game for real, you’ll have to weigh your decisions when using Mega Evolution. A great description was given by the official website to explain this new addition.

“Before playing a Mega Evolution Pokémon to evolve a Pokémon-EX, players must consider the situation carefully—doing so ends their turn immediately, which means they can’t attack that turn! The risky move is worth the reward, however, because Mega Evolution Pokémon exhibit a strength that surpasses that of Pokémon-EX. Hard-hitting attacks and high HP totals make Mega Evolution Pokémon dominant during Pokémon TCG matches.”

With this expansion the trading card game will welcome in over 140 new cards, two all-new Mega Evolution Pokémon, six new Pokémon-EX, and online code cards. You can’t go wrong by getting this, especially if it’s just for the bragging rights.

If you enjoyed Pokémon X and Y, will you be collecting the new cards? Comment!
