Nintendo dropped something of a bombshell on audiences during the February 2023 Direct with the surprise announcement and release of Metroid Prime Remastered on the Switch eShop. While it’s wonderful to see one of the most highly regarded GameCube games getting a new lease on life and a new coat of paint, people that aren’t so keen on digital releases might have been wondering about a Metroid Prime Remastered physical edition.
Will Metroid Prime Remastered Get a Physical Edition?
Not wishing to leave money on the table, Nintendo stated that physical editions of Prime Remastered would be released on February 22, 2023. In another significant move, both the digital and physical versions are priced at $39.99, putting them into almost impulse buy territory. You could make an argument about the lack of its sequels, but the Metroid Prime Remaster seems to be much more than a simple up-res job. This is practically on the level of a remake.

How to Pre-Order Metroid Prime Remastered
So where can you pre-order Metroid Prime Remastered? U.S. buyers will have plenty of options, and one may even get you the game a bit early.

- GameStop – $39.99 with the regular release date
- Best Buy – $39.99 with the regular release date
