Yesterday saw an announcement that Konami would be pulling the Silent Hills teaser, P.T., from the PlayStation Store on 4/29. However, with some new information that has come out, it seems that the whole Silent Hills project has been cancelled.
Guillermo del Toro announced that his collaboration with Hideo Kojima is no longer a concern at a San Francisco Film Society Event. It was then spread around by photojournalist Matt Hackney on Twitter who had attended the event.

While these statements alone do not confirm that the project is cancelled, given the recent relationship between Hideo Kojima and Konami, it can be assumed that he is no longer attached to the project either.
Taking this all into account already seems bad enough for fans of the game. But to make matters worse, Norman Reedus himself tweeted about the game and it seems like that may be the final nail in the coffin and further adds to the belief that the project is cancelled.
Super bummed about this was really looking forward to it. Hopefully it’ll come back around. Sorry everyone 🍕 http://t.co/drZJ8tBsSN

It is a shame that the project will most likely never be released. The teaser was an amazing project within itself, and imagining a whole game based off that alone seems exciting. Anything can happen going forward, but it does seem that even if the project is revived that it will not be the same project that fans were introduced to with P.T.
So what do you think, are you bummed that P.T. is being pulled and that Silent Hills is most likely cancelled, or are you holding out hope that the project will be revived.
