The Ascension Grid, or Nexus, is how you unlock new skills, passive abilities, and other bonuses to help you on your journey in Final Fantasy 15. There are 9 total grids, which all give bonuses to something specific. Some of them benefit each other, while others stand alone.
The Stats and Armiger grids give bonuses to things like health and strength, as well as extra accessory slots and powering up your royal arms. I’m going to explain the choices you have and give tips on which to get first.
This guide will go over everything about the Stats and Armiger Ascension Grids in Final Fantasy 15 including:
- Stats Skills – Each stat skill and what they do.
- Stats Suggestions – Which skills you should focus on first.
- Armiger Skills – Each armiger skill and what they do.
- Armiger Suggestions – Which skills you should focus on first.
Stat Skills
I’m going to break the grid up into different categories. Each skill will be a bullet point and skills that come later in a tree will be indented.
Stat Increase
- Health Level (10 AP) – Increases HP of each party member by 2 times the number of levels gained. Does not stack with similar abilities.
- Health Level II (99 AP) – Increases HP of each party member by 5 times the number of levels gained. Does not stack with similar abilities.
- Health Level III (333 AP) – Increases HP of each party member by 10 times the number of levels gained. Does not stack with similar abilities.
- Strength Level (99 AP) – Increases Strength of each party member by the number of levels gained.
- Spirit Level (99 AP) – Increases Spirit of each party member by the number of levels gained.
- Vitality Level (99 AP) – Increases Vitality of each party member by the number of levels gained.
Accessory Slots
- Accessory Slot: Noctis (16 AP) – Allows you to equip 2 accessories.
- Accessory Slot: Noctis (333 AP) – Allows you to equip 3 accessories.
- Accessory Slot: Prompto (16 AP) – Allows you to equip 2 accessories.
- Accessory Slot: Prompto (333 AP) – Allows you to equip 3 accessories.
- Accessory Slot: Ignis (16 AP) – Allows you to equip 2 accessories.
- Accessory Slot: Ignis (333 AP) – Allows you to equip 3 accessories.
- Accessory Slot: Gladiolus (16 AP) – Allows you to equip 2 accessories.
- Accessory Slot: Gladiolus (333 AP) – Allows you to equip 3 accessories.
Stats Suggestions
This part is pretty straightforward. You will want to get the Accessory Slot for everyone first. The one that lets you equip 2 is only 16 AP so start with that and wait for the last ones until late game.
I would also pick up the first health level since it is so cheap, but the others can wait if you choose to use other grids afterwards.
Armiger Skills
Armiger Usage
- Armiger Harvester (24 AP) – Boost Armiger gain from attacks.
- Iron Armiger (24 AP) – Reduce Armiger bar depletion.
- Armiger Action (48 AP) – Gain AP for conjuring the Armiger.
Armiger Chain
- Armiger Warchain (24 AP) – Boost damage inflicted by Armiger Chain.
- Armiger Freechain (72 AP) – Gain unlimited MP temporarily after executing Armiger Chain.
- Armiger Sagechain (99 AP) – Boost experience gained from Armiger Chain kills.
- Armiger Chain Reaction (48 AP) – Gain AP for executing an Armiger Chain.
Armiger Suggestions
The most helpful is definitely the Armiger Usage skills, especially Armigar Action to give you more AP, so I would work towards that first.
The Armiger Harvester is also very helpful because it will allow you to build the bar up faster, which means you can activate Armiger faster and more often to get even more AP.
The chain abilities are nice if you are building Armiger faster and using it often. Armiger Sagechain and Chain Reaction are nice for the experience and AP boost. Unless you are not in a hurry to use other Ascension grids, I wouldn’t worry about these until later in the game.
That’s it for my guide on the Stats and Armiger Ascension grids in Final Fantasy 15. Let me know if you have any questions!
