Oxenfree has been added to the PlayStation Store as part of the system lineup. The developers, an independent company known as Night School Studio, describe the game as “a supernatural teen thriller about a group of friends who unwittingly open a ghostly rift”.
Oxenfree is a single-player game that has enjoyed a 94% positive rating on Steam, and the reviews praise both the story and the graphics.
The PS4 version of the game has a feature not possible on the PC game: transforming your DualShock 4 into the game’s supernatural radio via the controller’s speaker and light bar. It promises to make a spooky game even more so.
Another alluring feature is additional storyline content; once the game is complete, new locations will open up and more loose ends will be tied off. Kudos to the developers for updating this feature to Steam the same day that the game hit the PlayStation Store.
