In 2012, a campaign was started on Kickstarter by Stone Blade Entertainment for their new collectible card game. The game was called SolForge, and it was pretty innovative at the time. Since then, we’ve had the joys of Hearthstone and other CCG games who have made a name for themselves and made the CCG genre popular.

The support on Kickstarter was overwhelming, and the developers got their project fully backed and could start working on the game and get things ready to bring it out to the public. On Tuesday, May 31st, SolForge is finally making its way out of Early Access.

SolForge takes place in a world where the sun has gone leaving the land cold and barren. All the heat, light and warmth of the planet come from the SolForge, which is a huge spire which has been imbued with mystic powers that protect the planet from an ancient evil. Many have tried to decipher the spire’s secret and factions fight over who has control of it. But a new threat is emerging from the frozen wasteland so all must turn to face it.

Some of the greatest minds in the world of trading card games have been working on SolForge, Gary Games who is responsible for the award-winning deck-building game Ascension and Richard Garfield, one of the amazing men behind Magic the Gathering.

SolForge is available to download for Android, iOS and PC and is free to play.
