Assassin’s Creed 4 Black Flag Guide: Unlocking Exclusive Wal-Mart Content

If you purchased your copy of Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag from the mega-retailer Wal-Mart, then you received additional exclusive content that must be unlocked. 

Inside your XBox 360 jewel case, there are three pieces of paper.

• One of them is for your UPlay Passport. That includes codes to activate the full single-player experience, all multiplayer abilities, and customization items without any restrictions as well as unlocking an exclusive character known as the Nightstalker. It goes without saying that you should probably activate this — it’s connected to any Ubisoft account you might have. 
• The other important paper included in the Assassin’s Creed 4 case is the page to unlock exclusive content. If you want access to the “Sacrficed Secrets Pack” (which includes an outfit, weapons and an extra mission) as well as “Captain Kenway’s Legacy Pack” (which has weapons and a treasure hunter costume) then you need to activate this code. 

To unlock the content, you’ll have to follow the in-game code redemption instructions on the paper, but there is a part that was left off of the instructions. 

Once you get to Redeem Code, there will be two options. Select Ubsioft code to input the code for your Wal-Mart content. You will need an Xbox Live Account to do any of that. 

I haven’t noticed any lag on the servers today, but be mindful that day one releases can be plagued by such things.
