SPOILERS AHEAD!
Last month the roster for the upcoming Super Smash Bros. for 3DS and Wii U leaked (you can see that here). Now, thanks to a few gamers that have received early copies, the game’s roster was revealed, and it matches what leaked last month.
Thanks to streamers, who have unlocked all of the characters, we are able to see the final roster (you can see user Hamayama’s stream here). These characters include unannounced characters Wario, Ganondorf, Dark Pit, Duckhunt (the dog and duck from Duck Hunt), Ness, Falco, Mr. Game and Watch, Bowser Jr., R.O.B., Jigglypuff, and Dr. Mario. Duckhunt, Dark Pit, and Bowser Jr. are new to the franchise.
Here is a list of all 49 characters, the 15 new are in bold:

Veteran characters missing from the roster include Lucas, Snake, Ice Climbers, and Wolf. Whether or not Nintendo plans to release these characters as DLC is unknown.
This reveal comes just one day before a Nintendo live stream where the company was going to show off a final build of Super Smash Bros. for the 3DS.
Super Smash Bros. releases in the West on the 3DS on October 3rd. There will be a Wii U version, but Nintendo has not given an official date yet, and has just said “winter.”
