Death Stranding, the game about taking a long hike through a post-apocalyptic wasteland as delivery boy for the last vestiges of civilization, is set to launch on PC in summer 2020. According to reports, it will come to both Steam and the Epic Games Store at launch.
505 Games announced the news late last week via the 505 Games blog. Known for publishing games such as Terraria and Sniper Elite 3, as well as this year’s criminally-good Control, 505 Games will also publish the PC version of Death Stranding.
Previously, we reported on Death Stranding being “a masterpiece to some but boring to others” because of the meticulous and plodding nature of the game. For example, EGM, despite rating the game highly, called it possibly “one of the most divisive games ever created,” as it takes the term walking simulator to the next level.
In this way, Death Stranding is an experience, and it goes without saying that it might not be for everyone. The game is already out on PS4 with generally favorable reviews, and as of writing sits at an 83 on Metacritic. Stay tuned to GameSkinny for our official review of the game in the coming weeks as we’re still plodding across America, building bridges and whatnot.
