Discovery 1.1, Minecraft‘s first big update of the year, launched today on Windows 10 and Pocket versions of Minecraft. The new Discovery 1.1 update will be packed with new features, including a brand new “Minecraft Marketplace”.
The Minecraft Marketplace allows players to access a catalogue of community created content more safely and easily and allows creators to potentially make some hard earned money from their own creations by showcasing them on the marketplace.
Today’s launch will also include six new worlds to explore, two new survival spawns, two texture packs, and four skin packs–as well as a number of new features, tweaks, and some minor bug fixes.
These new features and tweaks include a third new mode, “Adventure Mode” for people who like to create custom game modes and scenarios. Additionally, players will encounter Llamas in the wild, have new types of blocks to craft in the form of “Glazed Terracotta” and “Concrete Blocks”, and a bunch of new localization options for plenty of new languages.
