Machalite Ore is one of the most important crafting resources in Monster Hunter Rise. Used in a variety of weapons and armors, it’s not easy to find; not every mining node drops it, and you’ll need to keep an eye out when exploring alone or when you play with friends.
This Monster Hunter Rise guide provides a quick rundown of where you can find Machalite Ore, as well as how to make it appear on your map and which mining nodes are more likely to drop the crafting material.
Where to Find Machalite Ore in Monster Hunter Rise
One of the earliest places you can find Machalite Ore is in Sandy Plains, though it can also be found in the Flooded Forest and the Lava Caverns.
With all of these Machalite Ore locations, you can either find materials while you’re out hunting for monsters, or you can schedule an Expedition trip in the hub if you just want to go out to gather materials.
To find Machalite Ore, look for the mining outcrops on your map. Pull up the full map by holding down the “minus” button, and then press “X,” which will bring up the icons list. Press “R” until you get to the Materials tab, and you should see the white and blue Mining Outcrops icons, between the Godbug and Bonepile icons. Select the icons to make them appear on the map.
While Machalite Ore can be found from blue-icon outcrops, it seems to drop more frequently from white-icon outcrops. These mining nodes provide “somewhat uncommon ore” as opposed to the “run-of-the-mill” ore found from farming blue nodes.
Since the mining outcrops now appear on your map, you simply have to go around the area and mine the nodes, hoping that they give you Machalite Ore!
