The Gold Chicken Eggs in the Resident Evil 4 remake Mercenaries DLC allow you to gain bonus points during matches, adding to the points you typically get from killing enemies. There are several locations to find across the village, castle, and island. Here’s how to get them.
Where to Find Gold Chicken Eggs in RE4 Remake Mercenaries Mode
To get the Gold Chicken Eggs in Resident Evil 4 remake Mercenaries Mode, you’ll have to find and kill a Chicken in each stage. Although Chickens have some notable spawn points, there’s a bit of randomness thrown in, as well.
Moreover, they tend to run away if you get too close. In any case, once you kill the poor fowl, you can pick up the egg to earn 50,000 points.
This won’t be enough to push you past the threshold to reach S++ rank. We provide more tips for maximizing your points potential in our Mercenaries S++ Rank guide and our Mercenaries stages and levels guide.
Village Gold Chicken Egg Locations
We currently know of two Gold Chicken Egg locations in the Mercenaries Village stage.
- Church Cloister: The first Gold Chicken Egg is the cloister at the far end of the square (the one that leads to the graveyard/church), seen in the image above.
- Small Hut Near the Gate: Alternatively, you might see the Chicken if you head right toward the gate that leads to the Village Chief’s Manor. It should be in front of a small hut.
Castle Gold Chicken Egg Locations
As of now, we’ve seen one spot where a Chicken appears in the Castle stage. Specifically, it’s at the top of the ramparts, along the path that leads to where you’ll raise the cannon.
Island Gold Chicken Egg Locations
We currently know of one area where you can find a Gold Chicken Egg in the Mercenaries Island stage. For this, one, head to the left side of the AA-gun bunker, along the opposite end of the map. It should be near one of the machine gun turrets.
Mercenaries Mode isn’t the only time you’ll make use of Gold Chicken Eggs in RE4 remake. The Egg Hunt request tasks you with finding this item so you can sell it to the Merchant, while another can be used to quickly beat Ramon Salazar.
