Destiny 2: How to Complete the Hydroponics Delta Lost Sector

Completing the Hydroponics Delta Lost Sector in Destiny 2 is a matter of will. Here's how to complete it.

Probably the most straightforward Lost Sector on Neptune, the Hydroponics Delta is one big meat grinder. There are no special mechanics or tricks. All Destiny 2 asks you to do is defeat every enemy in the mini-dungeon’s three arenas, then beat the boss and collect your loot. The catch (if you consider it one) is that there are a metric ton of enemies to clear in each room, and the boss arena is cramped, leaving lots of room for you to be overwhelmed. Here’s how to complete the Hydroponics Delta Lost Sector.

Where to Find the Hydroponics Delta Lost Sector

To enter Hydroponics Delta, head to the southwest section of the Zephyr Concourse on Neptune. You should see the marker on a wall overlooking a chasm. Across from the marker is a gold-lit balcony. The door there leads to the Lost Sector.

Once inside, follow the hallway, keeping right at any intersections until you reach a green room filled with holographic plants. In the middle of the chamber beneath the plants is an open vent you can climb down into. Follow the vent hall all the way around until you reach the first arena.

Hydroponics Delta Lost Sector Walkthrough

There are three waves of enemies in this first section of the Hydroponics Lost Sector. It’s primarily made up of Legionaries, Phalanxes, and Psions. However, the final wave will see a Colossus appear at the back of the room. I recommend Strand or Solar subclasses here, though a properly built Void can do just as well. A Fusion Rifle or Shotgun and a Rocket Launcher can also make relatively quick work of the enemies.

After the final enemy falls in the first arena, the door to the back will open, revealing more Legionaries and Phalanxes just on the other side. As you progress, cleaver-wielding Gladiators will also begin to appear. The next arena is through the door at the end of the hallway and is more of the same.

The second arena also hosts multiple waves of enemies, starting with a couple of dozen Legionaries, Phalanxes, Psions, and a trio of Scorpius turrets. I’d recommend using your Super for the first wave and clearing the way to the back of the room (provided you have a roaming Super). Otherwise, use whatever crowd-control weapons and abilities you have, as this arena gets crowded quickly.

Eventually, Gladiators and a Colossus will spawn, so defeat them as they appear, and when everything’s dead, the forcefield blocking the vent at the back of the room will drop. Follow the vents up and forward until you fall into a large pink-lit nursery. This is the boss room, and he’s not far from where you drop in.

You can burn the boss immediately, but I don’t recommend it, as you’ll then need to contend with the swarms of trash mobs that spawn in. If you’re quick about it, you can defeat the boss, grab the loot chest and book it out. However, the boss has a huge health pool, so if your plan is to blast it, bring something like Gjallarhorn and whatever other burst DPS weapons you have (Slug Shotguns are a good choice). Otherwise, stay mobile, kill enemies as they spawn, and collect your reward.

And that’s how to complete the Hydroponics Delta Lost Sector in Destiny 2. Nothing fancy about this one: it just tests your ability to defeat waves of enemies efficiently.
