Game director, Masahiro Sakurai, confirmed on that the new Super Smash Bros. will include a new stage based on Super Mario Galaxy. He posted a picture on Miiverse and explained the new level. There will be gravity mechanics on this stage that will require players to come up with new fighting strategies.
I am glad to hear that Nintendo is coming up with new ways to fight in Super Smash Bros. to keep the series fresh. Marth’s confirmation and the success of Fire Emblem Awakening will hopefully bring us more in-depth Fire Emblem stages.
Maybe we can even expect a Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds stage that uses the new wall shifting mechanic. After all, they are being very particular about details like differences like between Marth’s and Link’s sword slashes.
The new Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and 3DS comes out next year, but no official release date has been given yet.
Are you excited about this new stage and the prospect of new experiences in Super Smash Bros.?
