The Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 release date has been confirmed by Activision. The next installment in the series will release on November 10. A 41-second teaser trailer was dropped alongside the news, though it doesn’t provide much information on the game besides showing prominent imagery and characters from the series, including Captain Price and Vladimir Makarov. The trailer doesn’t confirm the game’s platforms, though it’s safe to assume it will release on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S.
Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 Release Date Details
Outside of this trailer, a notable change is that the classic green coloration most associated with the series is now red, with the MW3 logo and presentation carrying a much more ominous tone this time around. We don’t know too much about the new Modern Warfare 3. However, there have been plenty of leaks and rumors swirling around throughout the summer. While we haven’t reported on those, they include key art (which confirms the red logo change), weapons, kill streaks, maps, and more.

While we’ll have to wait for confirmation about these from Activision, some of the leaks have already been seemingly confirmed (i.e. the red Modern Warfare 3 logo). We won’t have to wait long, however, as Activision has teased more information is coming soon, and according to multiple sources and outlets, dataminers have discovered an event is coming on August 17 that could include that additional info.
Sledgehammer Games, the studio oft-rumored to be working on MW3 but not confirmed, also retweeted a version of the trailer, with the copy “MODERN WARFARE III,” essentially confirming their involvement with the title. They’ve worked on previous CoD titles, such as the original Modern Warfare 3, CoD: WWII, and Black Ops: Cold War, among others.
