The Shadow Siege Limited Time event will kick off at 12:30 p.m. EST (9:30 a.m. PDT) on Thursday, August 17. You’ll gain double XP during the event, which takes place at Al Mazrah, according to shared artwork. That tracks with the steady intel drops for those who opted into the MW3 marketing campaign. But perhaps more importantly, you’ll have a front-row seat to the Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 worldwide reveal.

Here’s how Activision describes the event:

Complete additional objectives in Operation: Shadow Siege to claim further items, such as a new Base Weapon, all immediately available in Call of Duty: Warzone and Modern Warfare II . . .

Activision hasn’t shared much information on the reveal besides that. The exact time of the reveal on August 17 isn’t clear (nor was it shared in the announcement of the event). However, it’s safe to guess the publisher won’t make us wait too long. Again, the news has come quickly over the past several days. It began with confirmation of the MW3 release date on August 7. Then Activision shared the Makarov trailer on August 9.

In other news, it was also confirmed that content will carry forward from Warzone and Modern Warfare 2. This includes weapons, blueprints, operators, skins, and items. Further, MW3 Season 1 will see Though, it was stated that not all content will be transferrable. Activision plans to begin labeling weapons and items that are on August 16.

Those are the Modern Warfare 3 worldwide reveal event details for now. There’s surely more to come, and we’ll be covering it here at GameSkinny. Stay tuned.
