Lae’zel is certain that finding a creche is the only way to get rid of the tadpoles infesting the minds of you and your companions. The journey to meet any other Githyanki can be a bit of a long one, much less to find a creche. Relatively early on, you’ll get an objective to locate a patrol to the west of Emerald Grove. In this guide, we’ll go over where to find the Githyanki Patrol in Baldur’s Gate 3. Some spoilers follow.
Where to Find the Githyanki Patrol in Baldur’s Gate 3
In my first solo playthrough, I was dead set on roleplaying as a Githyanki and just sort of going along with what Lae’zel wanted to do. This meant seeking out the patrol faster than I’d bother otherwise, and it was not worth it. Get there when you like, but don’t rush it since you’ll be facing multiple Level 5 enemies and a Level 6 in the area.
Without having vision on the map, it looks like you need to go north from the Goblin Camp, but you actually need to head northwest and past Waukeen’s Rest from the Blighted Village to get to the Githyanki Patrol in Baldur’s Gate 3. On the journey, should you make a wrong turn or travel recklessly, are Level 4 Gnolls to be dealt with. Karlach can be found slightly off the path as well, if you haven’t met her yet. And there’s the situation at Waukeen’s Rest to be dealt with.
The situation at the Mountain Pass where the Githyanki patrol can be found isn’t great either. There are plenty of perils along the way and more at your destination. I’ll give no hints here but one: don’t forget you can always revive companions using the Revivify you start with in your inventories or at Withers. And this hint may mean nothing, depending on your choices leading up to this point in the game.
