Battlefield 4 Battlepack XP Boost Guide

How to use your XP Bonuses during your multiplayer matches of Battlefield 4.
This article is over 10 years old and may contain outdated information

So, you’ve played Battlefield 4 for a couple of weeks now, despite all the bugs. But, you still don’t know how to use the Battlepacks XP Boost that you get from ranking up in the game. We have you covered.

First, you need to open up the Battlepack in the “Soldier” Menu of your Battlelog, you will be able to see all the items that you have accumulated through these special bundles.

Sometimes, you’ll get some rare finds that will greatly improve your skills on the battlefield, but most of the items are just little boosts that you can use to help nudge you to a higher rank in a lesser amount of time. The boosts I’m talking about are the ones like the 25% XP Boost (Standard).

You will notice once you open the Battlepack you will not receive any more instructions on how to implement these boosts. Really, it’s simple–but only after I dug around the menus to try to find the things.

How to Open and Apply Your Bonuses:

What you want to do is open your Battlepack from the “Soldier” menu found in your Battlelog. Once your pack is open, go ahead and start whatever game of multiplayer you want. When your game loads and you are at your map screen, press the ‘ESC’ key–or whichever key brings you to your exit menu. Once at this screen, you will see a little rectangular box at the right hand corner. Click on this box and out will pop your bonuses that you have received from all of your opened Battlepacks. Now all you have to do is click the bonus you want to use first and resume your game.

With these bonuses you get 1 hour of gameplay and that time is cumulative, meaning you will not have to play that hour all at once and you will not lose it if you quit the game. If Battlefield 4 doesn’t bug out on you, you will be able to resume without losing however many minutes remain of your boost.
