Immortals of Aveum: How to Destroy Blue Walls

Immortals of Aveum has a ton of secret areas you’ll need to backtrack to and the most obvious are those behind blue walls. These transparent blue screens stick out like a sore thumb and confuse just about anyone the first time they come across one. Here’s everything you need to know about how to destroy blue walls and more in Immortals of Aveum.

What’s Behind the Blue Walls in Immortals of Aveum?

The most common thing I’ve found behind these blue walls has been Golden Chests. Considering that Golden Chests can offer loads of experience and even legendary gear or Legendary Essence, it’s certainly worth going a little out of your way to break a blue ward down. If you need any additional incentive, I’ve also found a couple of Shroudfanes behind them as well.

How to Destroy Blue Walls in Immortals of Aveum

You won’t be able to destroy the blue walls (a.k.a. Blue Wards) until you have the Wardbreaker Augment spell. Once you have it, all you need to do is melee any that you come across and they’ll break.

You’ll unlock this spell at the beginning of the thirteenth mission called Collateral. This is a mandatory part of the mission, so there’s no way to miss this. After returning to Thaddeus’ hideout in Mount Dresnyr and participating in a cutscene, you’ll be directed to access the nearby spell altar.

There’s no challenging Shroudfane to go through, just an altar you need to interact with to gain the new augment. Your first chance of testing it out comes soon after as a Blue Ward will conveniently appear in Thaddeus’ doorway. Use a melee attack to get past it and continue the mission. You don’t need to have a specific sigil or totem equipped to use this, as from now on your melee will simply destroy the wards.
