Rogue Legacy was one of the more celebrated indie platformer releases this year, bringing the term ‘roguelite’ to head among the gaming community.
The game’s random castle generation, multitude of class and trait combinations, and upgrade system made it an indie hit — and it’s about to get some more love from developer Cellar Door Games.
Rogue Legacy 1.2 promises some new additions to the already content-packed title, including new bosses for experienced players to take on. Cellar Door Games posted this blog post a few days ago, in which it is revealed the upcoming patch will include:
- 5 new boss “remixes”
- A new unlockable class
- 3 new traits
- 10% more maps
- Additional achievements
- Miscellaneous tweaks
There is a lot here for the Rogue Legacy fan-turned-bored person, especially those looking for more exciting challenges and a change in the same ol’ same ol’ castle generation. The new class in particular is a welcome addition to those tired of hoping for Spellsword in their heir pool, as the developer notes this new mystery class is “pretty uber”.
These additions and changes will be coming soon, though the exact release for Rogue Legacy 1.2 is yet unknown. Look for it over the coming days!
