Yesterday I mentioned the Christmas Mystery Box sale currently going on through to the 20th for our friends in the EU. Today we get news that those of us in North America can also get our hands on some nice Square Enix deals – and we don’t even have to guess at what they are.
From now until January 5, 2014, selected titles on the Square Enix NA Store are 50% off!
While admittedly the prices aren’t nearly as good… at least you aren’t blowing your hard-earned cash on something you don’t know whether or not you already have! Some of these offerings likely won’t affect the PC gamers among us, since the Winter Steam Sale is now underway, and absolutely every single one of the PC download titles available in the Square Enix sale can be found on Steam for about 50% off the sale price.
(Trust me, I checked them all for you.)
Still, for those of us a little behind the console curve and still haven’t gotten their hands on the latest generation of living room getup, this is a pretty great chance to pick up some console games for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, PS2, PSP, PS Vita, and 3DS if you haven’t already.
Some standout titles include:
- Final Fantasy XIII for the PS3 and Xbox 360 at $9.99
- Final Fantasy XIII-2 for the PS3 and the Xbox 360 at $9.99
- STAR OCEAN: First Departure for the PSP at $9.99
- THEATRHYTHM: Final Fantasy Curtain Call for the 3DS at $14.99
- Romancing SaGa for the PS2 at $14.99
Since shipping is often make-or-break for those of us buying online, shoppers in the United States might be happy to note that you will also benefit additionally from free shipping to the lower contiguous 48 states – at least for orders over $100.
You can check out all of these titles and more on the North American Square Enix Holiday Sale 2013 page.
UPDATE: Attempting to navigate this site was a nightmare. Products that added to your cart would sometimes add, but they would be out of stock and would say so. Others just wouldn’t add. When I decided to buy what I could, I got stuck in an infinite look on Verifying Address. Support contact was impossible to find and promised me a crazy long wait queue to boot. I simply gave up. If anyone else has had any luck, let us know in the comments!
