Tens of thousands of levels? …WTF?

Dragon’s Crown is one of the most entertaining games of 2013.  There’s no doubt about that.  There have also been no fewer than four patches, many of which have added plenty of great content.

But did you know that the latest update adds “tens of thousands of levels?”

Yes, seriously.  As Atlus PR Manager, John Hardin, said over at the PlayStation Blog, the team got the feeling that the fans didn’t think the game was hard enough.  After all, quite a few gamers got to Lv. 99 without too much difficulty.  But now, watch out.

There’s a brand new Ultimate difficulty level, which is available after you clear the ninth layer of the Labyrinth of Chaos. Not only is the game much harder, but the level cap rises from 99 to a whopping 255. There will also be a new dungeon unlocked, which is called the Tower of Mirages. It’s randomly generated and features “tens of thousands of levels.” That’s just… insane. Beyond insane, in fact.
