The Devotee’s Mace is a legendary weapon that’s great for a healer with its Healing Incense Aura ability. As a bonus action that lasts for 10 turns, the wearer and their allies within 9m will receive health at the start of each turn. Boasting 6 to 18 Damage as well so that you can still use it in combat, here’s how to get the Devotee’s Mace in Baldur’s Gate 3.
How to Get the Devotee’s Mace in Baldur’s Gate 3
While only Clerics can obtain the Devotee’s Mace, you can send it to other classes if you have a better weapon for yourself or Shadowheart. It’s a nice option to have, but you’ll be sacrificing utility to get it, so make sure that you want this weapon. In the case of Shadowheart, she will get a legendary spear from her personal quests, so getting the mace might not be worth it. However, if you’re playing a Cleric as well, you won’t be able to get two of the spears, so you might want to consider the mace.
Getting the Devotee’s Mace
Getting the Devotee’s Mace is fairly straightforward. The only requirement is that you have a Level 10 Cleric in your party. At Level 10, Clerics get Divine Intervention as a spell. This can be used once per Cleric per game, and there are four versions of the spell you can use. One deals damage. One heals your party. One gives you Camp Supplies and potions. And the last one gives you a weapon.
The Devotee’s Mace Removes Other Divine Intervention Options
The Devotee’s Mace is from Divine Intervention: Arm Thy Servant. This takes your one use of the spell, and it gives you the mace. You don’t have to keep the mace on a Cleric, but you have to be a Cleric to get the mace with Divine Intervention. If you respec away from being a Cleric after getting the mace, it will remain in your inventory.
That’s all there is to know about how to get the Devotee’s Mace in Baldur’s Gate 3. It’s a useful mace if you don’t have Shadowheart’s spear, but it means giving up the use of Divine Intervention for damage or healing, which could make the difference in boss fights.
