How to Hack the Militech Datashard in Cyberpunk 2077

You receive the datashard after speaking with Dexter DeShawn during the quest “The Ride” and meeting with Meredith, who gives V the datashard you’re meant to give to Royce.

To hack the Militech Datashard, you need to either have high intelligence so you can use the Breach Protocol quickhack, or use a Netrunner build. This is so you can get past the firewall. If you can use the Breach Protocol quickhack, then you can head to the next steps towards collecting your money.

Find the Datashard in Your Journal

Go into your Journal, then Shards, and select Encrypted in order to inspect the datashard. This lets you use Breach Protocol on it. Next, you can choose to either:

• Neutralize the malware using the sequence 55, 1C, and E9 in that order.
• Or remove the virus with BD, BD, FF, 55, and you get it as a quickhack.

Should You Remove or Copy the Virus?

If you don’t remove the virus, Royce will attack you when he realizes it’s there. If you remove the virus, Meredith is at risk of being killed. You might not want Meredith to die. You can prevent her death by killing Royce if you remove the virus. Otherwise, if you don’t care for her, then you can avoid some combat here.
