Best Cyberpunk 2077 Mods to Install After Update 2.0

There are tons of great mods for Cyberpunk 2077. Here are some of the best of them after update 2.0.

Cyberpunk 2077 on PC was largely saved on PC by its modding scene, which went above and beyond to address everything from the glaring technical issues to adding quality of life and gameplay updates. It reached the point where modders were adding entirely new areas and systems to Night City, from a fully functional metro system to the ability to steal and sell any car on the street. Now, with the massive 2.0 update, thousands of mods will need updating to function with the new codebase. These are the best Cyberpunk 2077 mods to install after update 2.0.

The Best Cyberpunk 2077 Mods to Install After Update 2.0

A quick note before we start the list: while 2.0 and Phantom Liberty are the last major content updates for Cyberpunk 2077, there will probably be about a half-dozen smaller bug-fix patches in the weeks after launch. Should you download a mod prior to an update, be sure to check the mod’s page to see if it requires any changes of its own to work.

Also, always follow the modder’s installation instructions and check the compatibility list. A mod author is neither liable nor responsible for anything bad that might happen when you install their work.

Modding Resources and Frameworks

The first set of mods you should install don’t directly affect your game experience, but they’re essential all the same. These mods provide a framework on which many others can be built, and getting them up and running now will save you a lot of headache later should updated and new mods require their use.

If you install all of the above mods, you shouldn’t have any conflicts, but redscript does require RED4ext if you’re also using the officially supported RedMod plugin.

Quality of Life Improvement Mods

The mods listed here make playing Cyberpunk 2077 a more enjoyable experience, whether by improving an otherwise clunky system or adding some small mechanic that makes others better.

  • Car Modification Shop: Change the stats and other aspects of your vehicle using an in-game garage.
  • Infinite Attributes Reset — REDMod: This mode does exactly what it says: removing the one-time limit on attribute reset, so you can respec your whole character whenever you like.
  • Cyberware-EX: Lets you install a Cyberdeck, Sandevistan, and Berserk at the same time with enough investment in Technical Ability.
  • Cyber Vehicle Overhaul: A top-down update to how vehicles handle and function, and will hopefully be updated with all new 2.0 vehicles.
  • Filter Saves by Lifepath and Type: This mod makes organizing your playthroughs easy, so you can always load the right character.
  • Photo Mode Unlocker 2.0 XL: Cyberpunk’s photo mode is fine. This mod makes it better.
  • Silent Silencers and Throwing Knives: Stops combat from starting automatically if you fire a suppressed weapon or throw a knife.
  • Unequip Mods: Ever wanted to unequip a weapon mod for a better one? With this game mod, you can.

Immersion Mods

The CCyberpunk 2077 mods listed here don’t make changes to game mechanics or add anything to gameplay. Instead, they make it feel like you’re more a citizen of Night City or add some flair to your everyday.

  • All Stash Weapons: Ensures your private stash actually shows all the Iconic weapons you’ve collected.
  • Always First Equip: If you love the first equip animations for your weapons, this mod has varying degrees of probability for the animation to play again.
  • Bloat Begone: This mod removes a lot of the additional clutter from the main menu.
  • Judy/River/Panam Romance and Kerry Interactions Enhanced: These mods make the romanceable characters feel more alive when you finish their questlines.
  • Pocket Radio: Listen to the in-game radio outside your car. Simply amazing.
  • Sit Anywhere: You wanna’ sit someplace in Cyberpunk? Now you (probably) can.
  • Status Bar Bug Fixes: There are still bugs in Cyberpunk 2077 after 2.0. This mod fixes some of the ones in the status bar UI.
  • Street Vendors: Gives the many random street vendors inventories, allowing you to trade with them.
  • Weather Probability Rebalance: The weather in Night City can always use a little variance. This mod does just that.

Graphics Mods

The graphics mods in this list all make changes and improvements to the already solid graphics of Cyberpunk 2077. They’re all mutually exclusive, so pick one you like and install it. Trying to stack multiples can have some funky effects.

  • E3 Visual Overhaul: Attempts to make Cyberpunk look more like the version we got in the 2018 E3 trailer.
  • Mango’s Ultra ReShade: If you have a beefy computer, this ReShade preset can take Cyberpunk’s visuals to new heights.
  • Vanilla Plus Visual Enhancement: If you like the vanilla, default look for Cyberpunk, this mod changes nothing about that, instead making that appearance cleaner and more inviting.

These are the best Cyberpunk 2077 mods to install after 2.0. They’re hardly representative of all the quality mods available on just the game’s Nexus site. These are just the ones that I’ve found to be great to have options. We’ll be keeping tabs on Cyberpunk 2077 modding in the weeks and months to come, and so should you.
