Assassin’s Creed Mirage: Should you Bid on the Hairpin?

Once you begin the quest to find the Treasurer in the Bazaar, you’ll find out that they are a collector of goods from all around the world. To seek an audience with them you’ll have to locate the hairpin. After you find the merchant that has it they’ll inform you that it’ll be up for auction later that night.

When you attend the auction you will have the option to bid on it. If you participate you’ll find yourself in a bidding war with another person. Your first bid will be 150 Dirham. Then other person will outbid you. Your next bid will go all the way up to 500 Dirham. If you bid that much you get the hairpin and you can see the Treasurer.

What happens if you don’t want to spend that much money? Well, you won’t have to. If you lose the auction, the winner will take it with him up to a balcony. You can then go up there and steal it when his back is turned, though you’ll have to be quick. You can also throw a Smoke Bomb and then take it if you don’t want to wait long.
