Heads Up, PAX Pals

With 36 days left until the event, be on the lookout for some PAX East announcements this month!
This article is over 11 years old and may contain outdated information

PAX East will be taking place, as usual, in Boston, MA, March 22-24th. As you probably know, 3 day passes sold out in early October last year and Saturday passes are completely gone. Friday is running low, though Sunday is still available.

PAX’s Twitter is always answering questions, but here are a few key points to help you on your PAX adventure.

  • For those who managed to snag passes early, they’ll be shipped out two to three weeks before the convention, so look for yours in the mail starting early March. You must have your badge and pre-reg packet in order to enter the convention center (speaking from experience, in 2011 I forgot my 3 day pass having flown in from Texas. They were kind enough to loan me a Friday pass because I showed them my confirmation via the email confirmation they sent on my iPhone, but I had to have my 3 day overnighted to me, and it cost upwards of $50 for post alone).
  • Some badges may be available at the door, but do not count on it.
  • PAX East has an official app that will have a map, schedule, and shuttle info. Be sure to grab it before the convention so you don’t miss a thing.
  • The schedule for speakers and events will be announced by the end of the month. The musical guests have already been announced and can be found here.
  • Swag bags (giant bags in which to put your goodies) will be available at certain locations throughout the convention and handed out by enforcers. Get there early to snag yours!

We will have a booth for GameSkinny in the expo hall, so be sure to come by and say hi to us! Information on our internship and featured contributor programs will be available, along with some cool swag.

Be sure to check back for more updates, and check out the PAX FAQ if you have any questions!
