Stranded Deep is a survival game so your health is essential. Being lost at sea is no easy feat, so you can expect to be faced with plenty of challenges. Whether it’s the sun beating down on you, or pesky crabs on the beach, you’ll find yourself compromised. Find out how to gain health in our guide here.
Stranded Deep: How to Gain Health
Health is the overall measure of your physical status in Stranded Deep. You can keep track of your health status bars by checking your wristwatch (Hold F on PC). You’ll track your health, hunger, thirst, and sun exposure from this watch. It’ll also display any status defects you have such as sunstroke, or poison. If you have any defects, or your basic needs are compromised, your health will deplete. Here’s how to gain health:
- Keep Hunger and Thirst meters to at least four bars.
- Relieve any status defects.
All status defects are situational in Stranded Deep. So, if you have an illness like sunstroke, you’ll need to consume aloe or aloe salve. I recommend you track your sun exposure closely on your watch so you can avoid sunstroke.
How to Replenish Thirst and Hunger in Stranded Deep
I’ve found that my thirst will deplete much faster than my hunger in Stranded Deep. So, I recommend you have a Water Still available on any island you camp on. Here’s how to craft a Water Still:
- x1 Coconut Flask.
- x1 Piece of Tarp.
- x3 Rock.
- x1 Lashing.
- x1 Palm Frond.
You can obtain easily obtain food by killing small crabs along the shoreline with a Stone Tool. You can cook them at a basic campfire for some quick food. As you progress in the game, you’ll come across more advanced creatures like sharks and large crabs that provide more resources.
Well, that covers how to gain health in Stranded Deep. I recommend you check our collection of many other Stranded Deep tips and tricks articles on our dedicated hub page.
