The 90’s were a little 10 year sneak-peak at what it’s like to live in heaven. For most people, the 90’s were a time of awesome boy bands, highlighter pants, and who can forget all those fantastic TV shows! Guess the 90’s! is an app that reminds you of all your favorite things from the era.

The app delves into memory lane with categories such as tv shows, clothing, electronics, toys, and more. Most of the categories include iconic items from the era that brought us Fresh Prince and silly putty.
Excellent word solving game.
When you open up the game you’ll immediately be taken to a screen to start your journey back to your childhood. You are given a number of letters to help you solve the puzzle; if you still don’t know the answer, there are three types of hints you can use: exposing a letter, removing letters, and solving the question. You can use these hints by spending the coins you get from solving the words.
The amount of coins given during the game was adequate enough to not force you to by coins to solve it, which is also an option.
Ads, ads and more ads.
The one annoyance in all free apps are the ads that are needed to help the app makers make their money. The ads in this game pop up after every level upgrade and take up pretty much the entire screen. In my playthrough, I accidentally hit the ads multiple times, which then took you to the app store to see other apps. The constant redirection to the app store was frustrating.
There are a lot of different puzzles to solve!
The interface is very simple, with the picture-taking center stage and your letter options at the bottom of the screen. The colors are just as bright and fun as the decade’s style was, and you’ll want to get those dusty swish-y pants out of the back of your closet in no time!
There are over two hundred levels with multiple pictures per level. Guess the 90’s! is available for iOS free at the app store.
