Gaijin Entertainment today announced hard-core War Thunder gamers are competing in the official international championship, Gladiators.WT 4×4. 310 teams of the best War Thunder gamers, composed of over 1,800 competitors, from more than thirty countries are currently battling it out to crown the next War Thunder champion.
Gladiators.WT 4×4 competitors are fighting to take home an estimated $28,000 in prize money and MSI computer hardware. The competition runs until the end of March 2014. You can check out the War Thunder Championship here.
Gaijin Entertainment’s Kirill Yudintsev said,
“Gladiators is a special set of rules well-known among virtual pilots, and through trial we have perfected the tournament and optimized it, so that it is best suited for flight simulators.”
“The Gladiators.WT 4×4 iteration marks the first time that fans can watch the tournament live, making it a true e-sport experience. We’re looking forward to seeing which squad will be crowned a War Thunder champion.”
