Dark Souls 2 gets yet another new trailer from Bandai Namco, with the release right around the corner.
The new “Hollow Lullaby” trailer uses footage from both Dark Souls and Dark Souls 2 to chronicle the journey between the two games, and asks us to remember “how it all began.” Contrary to what some may think, the trailer tells us that Dark Souls 2 isn’t just about death, but instead about determination, willpower, and learning from your mistakes. It’s almost as if From Software wanted to give players a pep-talk before they jump into the game next month and start breaking controllers and cursing at their televisions.
The trailer is short compared to the “Cursed” trailer released earlier this year, at less than a minute and a half long, but it’s all very, very Dark Souls, with its talk of perseverance and sacrifice.
Dark Souls 2 is being developed by From Software, and is out March 11 in North America and March 14 in Europe for the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3. According to publisher Bandai Namco, the PC version will follow shortly after the console release.
