Developers and designers around the industry have praised the PlayStation 4. The latest to do so is Grasshopper Manufacture CEO Goichi Suda, aka “Suda 51.”
In speaking to Famitsu (as translated by Siliconera), Suda said he’s impressed with the speed and potential of Sony’s new console. He specifically cites the “speed” of the machine, although he doesn’t really define that term. Many assume he’s referring to the RAM built into the console, but you can decide for yourself:
“The most impressive one to me so far has got to be ‘speed’. As a video game console, that’s the part the stood out to me the most for the PlayStation 4. We make games, so we want to make them fun, and we also put a lot of effort into making them as appealing as possible. In order to do that, we need hardware that can show ‘speed’.
When it comes to making games, having this ‘speed’ available as an ingredient really puts us at ease. Even as we currently develop, we can really feel the response of having it available.”
Suda 51 is hardly the only game maker to compliment the PS4, which has rapidly become a favorite among industry insiders. As for Grasshopper, they’re currently toiling away on a PS4 title called Lily Bergamo, which is supposed to be a “super action game.” Well, that’s no big shock, given the studio’s recent titles (Killer is Dead, Lollipop Chainsaw, Shadows of the Damned).
