How to Complete Interceptor in CoD MWZ

Locate the Mercenary Convoy

The mercenary convoy of the Interceptor mission is always comprised of three armored trucks. They always move together along the highways, which can be easily spotted on your Tac-map. Note that the best area to look out for the convoy is Threat Level 2, so don’t waste your time looking for it anywhere else or searching for single vehicles.

I highly recommend taking a vehicle to search for the convoy, as you’ll waste lots of time on foot. So pick up any free car on the map and ride around looking for the convoy of three armored trucks. Once you spot them, you must work very carefully. One wrong move will fail the mission.

How to Quickly Summon Convoy

Since a convoy spawns randomly, you can spend a long time looking for it on your own. But you can do the following to speed up the process:

1. Find some players to join in your team.
2. Visit any point of interest as a squad.
3. Wait for convoy to spawn and target your team.

That’s how you can summon a convoy and complete the mission rather quickly.

Destroy the Mercenary Convoy

Mercenaries are way tougher than regular zombies, so you really need to team up if you want to be able to defeat them all within the convoy. Here are a few essential tips that I strongly advise using when facing a convoy:

• Take cover immediately as soon as the shoot-out begins.
• Shield up and vest up, or two shots will kill you.
• Aim for the headshots to quickly kill mercenaries.
• Throw Molotov Cocktails to burn them and their vehicles.
• If you can’t kill them, then use LT53 Kazimir grenades to teleport them away.
• Use a shotgun to pierce through their armor at close range.
• Once all the mercs are down, shoot at the trucks to completely destroy them.

Note that all three trucks must be destroyed so that nothing is left of them, as that’s when the mission is considered accomplished. All you need to do is simply shoot at the vehicles until they explode. But, most importantly, don’t rush the encounter. Stay in cover for as long as needed, and let your teammates carefully take one mercenary after another.

Pick Up the Mercenary Stronghold Keycard

The whole point of the Interceptor mission is to obtain the Mercenary Stronghold Keycard, which grants access to the mercenary strongholds. Usually, one of the mercs drops it during the shoot-out, but don’t pick it up just yet.

If you pick up the keycard before all three trucks are fully destroyed, the mission may get bugged, and you’ll never be able to finish it. Be sure to fully destroy all the vehicles, and then pick it up to be sure that the mission will be completed in the right way.
