Taking down bosses, and surviving enemy hoards becomes easier when you can play with others, employ new strategies, and have help tanking damage. This becomes impossible when errors get in the way, but here are fixes for Remnant 2’s multiplayer not working.
How to Get Multiplayer Working in Remnant 2
Multiplayer Error Causes
There are a few causes for multiplayer not working. The main one is connection or lack there of, whether it’s your internet or the game’s connection to the server. If the server isn’t stable you’ll end up erroring out of a multiplayer lobby.
You also need to be on the same platform, as Remnant 2 doesn’t have crossplay. If you’re friend is on PC and you’re on Xbox, you won’t be able to play together. While this doesn’t cause any errors to occur, you’re friends name won’t appear to join.
Thankfully, a new update by Gunfire Games seems to have recently been deployed in an attempt to resolve the Friend and multiplayer issues. This was specifically noted as being for the PlayStation 5, and is most likely in development for other platforms.
Potential Multiplayer Not Working Fixes
If you’re still experiencing issues, here are a few things you can due to try and fix the problem.
- Restart the game.
- Restart your device.
- Restart router.
- Confirm system time hasn’t been altered.
- Use the launcher instead of a shortcut, on PC.
- Repair game files or reinstall game.
- If the problem persists, send in an official support ticket.
Multiplayer Workaround
While not ideal, there is a workaround if you find yourself unable to join your friends. Instead of hoping in to your friends game through an invite, you’ll need them to activate an adventure mode through the World Crystal. You’re going to need to manually search for their name, or refresh the list of available adventures, to find them. Once found, join their world.
