Top 10 Best Guns Ranked in CoD MWZ

Here’s a quick breakdown of our list of the Top 10 best guns in MW3 Zombies:

SVA 545 (Assault Rifle)

Image via Activision
  • How to get: Available by default.

The SVA 545 rifle is the universal choice for all zombie hunters who want to have equal effect at all possible ranges. The damage is high enough to kill zombies in just a few precise shots, while the first two shots fire almost simultaneously, making it the fastest zombie-killing weapon in MWZ. The attachments listed below will fix a few issues with it, such as recoil control and the size of the magazine.

Best SVA 545 Zombies Loadout

  • Muzzle: HMRES Mod Suppressor
  • Optic: MK.3 Reflector
  • Stock: Mane V6 Stock
  • Magazine: 45 Round Mag
  • Ammunition: 5.45 High Grain Rounds

RGL-80 (Launcher)

Image via Activision
  • How to get: Available by default.

Zombies tend to horde and attack in groups, and the best way to deal with them is to launch a few shots from RGL-80. It will easily clear out any area with zombies, which makes it the best secondary weapon for the Zombies mode. You can’t modify it with any attachments, but if you plan on using it, then I highly recommend equipping the Blast Shield, which will protect you from the explosive damage of RGL-80 that may hurt you in close quarters.

Wunderwaffe DG-2 (Wonder Weapon)

Image via Activision
  • How to get: Random reward for completing contracts in the High Threat Zone.

It’s no surprise that wonder weapons are extremely powerful and perform exceptionally well in Zombies mode. The Wunderwaffe DG-2 model shoots electric bolts that not only deal enough damage to kill a zombie instantly, but they can also turn into dust when a few of them flock together. If it doesn’t immediately kill them, then it freezes them, which either lets you finish them off with a melee weapon or simply move on. Just try to shoot in the open area, or the projectiles may hurt you, too.

Ray Gun (Wonder Weapon)

  • How to get: Random reward for completing contracts in the High Threat Zone.

An iconic Ray Gun is back in Modern Warfare 3, proving once again what a great weapon it is, especially for killing zombies. Just like Wunderwaffe DG-2, it can instantly kill a zombie or a small group if they stick together. But note that you still need to be pretty accurate with your shots, as the ammo is limited and the reload times are longer than with regular weapons.

Bas-B (Battle Rifle)

Image via Activision
  • How to get: Reach Level 17.

If you want to take out zombies at long range without using a sniper rifle in MWZ, then Bas-B would be the best option. It’s just as powerful in terms of damage as a sniper rifle, but it has a higher rate of fire and a larger magazine. The default rounds have a significant bullet velocity, which can also be effectively used in midrange combat. I’ve chosen specific attachments below to fix the recoil control issues of the Bas-B rifle.

Best Bas-B Zombies Loadout

  • Muzzle: VT-7 Spiritfire Suppressor L
  • Barrel: Bruen Venom Long Barrel
  • Optic: MK.3 Reflector
  • Stock: Bruen Laur4 Light Precision Stock
  • Underbarrel: Chewk Angled Grip
  • Magazine: 45 Round Mag

The Scorcher (Wonder Weapon)

Image via Activision
  • How to get: Random drop from the Mystery Box.

There’s no better feeling in the world than putting packs of zombies on fire with a giant red laser. But The Scorcher isn’t a true horde-killer, being able to penetrate an entire chain of zombies that conveniently line up for their inevitable demise. Unfortunately, finding this specific weapon will be a chore, as Mystery Boxes are very rare in Zombies mode.

Renetti (Handgun)

Image via Activision
  • How to get: Reach Level 21.

Renetti has one of the highest rates of fire among all handguns in MWZ, which makes it perfect for this mode. You can use it to quickly follow up on the primary weapon shots that didn’t manage to kill a zombie or a mercenary. Be sure to aim straight at headshots to make sure that the job will be done. You can also turn it into a compact SMG with the help of the JAK Ferocity Carbine Kit conversion kit, which is unlocked at Level 20.

Pulemyot 762 (LMG)

  • How to get: Reach Level 4.

The heavy and bulky Pulemyot 762 may be the best option for the Zombies mode, as it functions like a lawnmower, especially with the JAK Annihilator Bullpup conversion kit that offers a huge magazine capacity. It may not provide similar efficiency against the mercenaries, but at least you can use it for suppressive fire. I also must warn you that it quickly loses its accuracy at longer ranges, so be sure to use my loadout below to compensate for the massive bullet spread.

Best Pulemyot 762 Zombies Loadout

  • Muzzle: VT-7 Spiritfire Suppressor.
  • Barrel: ST Pyro Heavy Barrel.
  • Optic: MK.23 Reflector.
  • Stock: FT Tac-Elite Stock.
  • Underbarrel: Bruen Heavy Support Grip.
  • Magazine: 75 Round Mag.
  • Rear Grip: Demo TL20 Recoil Grip.

MCW 6.8 (Marksman Rifle)

Image via Activision
  • How to get: Reach Level 25.

MCW is another fantastic rifle with a similar performance to the best Zombies weapon, which is the SVA 545. But this rifle becomes available only later in the game, while the SVA 545 can be played from the very start. But I urge you to use MCW as soon as you can, as it’s one of the most reliable, accurate, and powerful weapons in the game, with an exceptional performance in Zombies mode.

Best MCW 6.8 Zombies Loadout

  • Barrel: Kimura Silentshot Integral Suppressor.
  • Underbarrel: FTAC SP-10 Angled Grip.
  • Optic: MK.23 Reflector.
  • Magazine: 30 Round Mag.
  • Rear Grip: RB Rapidstrike Grip.

Riveter (Shotgun)

Image via Activision
  • How to get: Reach Level 25.

Shotguns are infamously slow weapons with wide bullet spread, but I was impressed at just how effective they are against packs of zombies in close-range combat. The bullet spread actually benefits you here, as it strikes multiple zombies at once. The high damage power of the shells makes them, if not kill, then incapacitate zombies at once. A few attachments listed below will help you improve its range and rate of fire.

Best Riveter Zombies Loadout

  • Barrel: Pneumatic Integrated Suppressor.
  • Underbarrel: XRK Edge BW-4 Handstop.
  • Stock: DAV15 Light Tactical Stock.
  • Rear Grip: Phantom Grip.
  • Optic: Slate Reflector.
