Crafting the best gear for your build can take persistence, caps, bullion, and a bit of luck. To make top-of-the-line armor and weapons you’ll need Legendary Modules — but they aren’t exactly easy to come by. Here’s how to Legendary Modules in Fallout 76.
Where to Get Legendary Modules
Legendary modules are used when crafting legendary items in Fallout 76. These modules empower items with a random effect. They can only be obtained in three ways.
- Bought from the Purveyor.
- Redeemed from the Season Scoreboard.
- By completing Expeditions.
Purchase Legendary Modules from the Purveyor
The Purveyor is a friendly mole miner that sells legendary modules, along with random star-rating armor and weapons. He’s located in the Ash Heap at the Rusty Pick. To buy any of his goods, however, you’ll need Legendary Scrips. One module costs 50 scrips, and he stocks up to 100 of them. If you serverhop, his inventory will refill, and if you’re short on scrips, there’s a Legendary Exchange kiosk in the Rusty Pick you can use.
Get legendary modules via Season Scoreboard Redemption
The scoreboard each season offers a variety of items that can be redeemed. Each level can give atoms, weapon skins, or Legendary Modules. Often located in the higher levels, you’ll need to earn plenty of S.C.O.R.E to reach it. You’ll want to check if there are any possible levels you can redeem for modules each time a season starts.
Get Legendary Modules by Completing Expeditions
Heading to the Pitt and finishing the accompanying quests will earn you at least one Legendary Module. Depending on your team’s performance and how fast you finish everything, you may be rewarded a second. Don’t be like me and embark on an expedition alone and expect to hit all targets quickly. If you’re looking to get modules this way, make sure you have a full team.
