Fortnite: How to Get and Use Snowball Launcher

Where do You Find the Snowball Launcher in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 1?

When you’re a Fortnite fan, nothing gets you in the holiday spirit quite like Winterfest. This year, we’ve got some special quests to tackle. You’ll need to deal damage to opponents with a Snowball Launcher to make your way through all of the available missions. But the question remains: where do you get a Snowball Launcher?

After playing for a few hours, I’ve discovered them as regular loot, but you can also buy one from  Holiday Boxy for 600 Gold Bars at the Ship-it center between Pleasant Piazza and Fencing Fields.

How to Use the Snowball Launcher to Complete Challenges

Once you’ve got the Snowball Launcher, you’ll need to use it to deal damage. The weapon fires giant giggling snowballs that deal between 37.5 and 41.25 DPS, depending on the rarity. In Chapter 5 Season 1, you’ll find Rare, Epic, and Legendary Snowball Launchers.

The snowball projectile will fire in an arc, so I suggest you aim above your target. It operates exactly like the standard Fortnite grenade launcher, firing a slow-moving projectile. So, it will explode on impact in a small radius.

While the weapon can certainly pack a punch, I recommend you come prepared with alternate weapons for gunfights. I like to use the Snowball Launcher to get some chip damage on my enemies from afar before swapping to a more reliable weapon like an AR.
