Monster Hunter World: How to Hide Helmets in MHW

Show off your hunter's pretty face or mean mug. Here's how to hide helmets in MHW.

You didn’t spend all that time in character creation just to hide your character’s face, did you? While there’s some truly great armor in Capcom’s ARPG, you may not want it on all the time. Here’s how to hide your helmet in MHW to show off your hunter’s beautiful mug.

How to Hide Your Helmet in Monster Hunter World

There are a lot of snazzy layered armors to farm for and slap onto your hunter in MHW, including a ton of modded ones on PC. While in-game, press the button to open the menu and browse over to Options. From there, flip through the Options tabs until you get to Game Settings. From there, head to the second page of settings. The second option on the second page should be Head Armor.

The three options are Show, Hide, and Hide in Cutscene Only. I prefer to just set it to stay hidden, but choosing to only hide it in cutscenes means you’ll still get to don cool helmets and layered armor helmets but also see your hunter’s facial expressions in cutscenes. It’s the best of both worlds, but it’s not like any option is a life or death situation. You can change this setting at any time.
