Destiny 2: How to Find and Complete the Celestial Anomaly in Constellation Lock

Finding and completing the celestial anomaly puzzle is key to the Constellation: Lock quest in Destiny 2.

To unlock all of the Exotic catalysts for the Wish-Keeper Exotic Bow in Destiny 2, you’ll need to complete Constellation quests each week after earning the weapon. The Constellation: Lock quest takes you to Spire of Keres in the Dreaming City in search of a celestial anomaly.

You’ll find the celestial anomaly location for Constellation: Lock in the Spine of Keres area of the Dreaming City. From your spawn point in the Divalian Mists, keep to the left side of the area until you reach an opening in some blue-glowing rocks.

Follow the path forward until you come to a circular area with some enemies (they can be either Hive, Scorn, or Taken, depending on the current progression of the Dreaming City curse).

From the first major area, continue to your left through the two pillars. Cross the bridge and climb the stairs on your right, then make one more left. After passing between two more pillars, you should see a beam of light shining above a rocky outcrop in the distance. That beam is the anomaly we’re looking for.

To reach the celestial anomaly in Constellation: Lock, cross the nearby bridge, then jump across the gap to the base of the outcrop, then up onto the top. From there, look up to see the source of the anomaly, which you can shoot when you aim down the sight of your Wish-Keeper.

How to Complete the Celestial Anomaly Puzzle in Destiny 2

To solve the celestial anomaly puzzle in Constellation: Lock, you first need to activate it: interact with the beacon at the bottom of the beam that says “Reveal Message.” From there, shoot the new beacon that appears high above you. Now, you’ll need to shoot the beacons that appear in a specific order.

  • Left
  • Middle
  • Right
  • Bottom-right
  • Bottom-middle
  • Center
  • Right center
  • Middle-center
  • Left-center
  • Bottom left-center
  • Bottom right-center

Once you’ve shot each beacon of light in the correct order, the constellation symbol will appear, and you’ll need to interact with it through the “Collect Inscription” prompt to progress the quest.

Legend difficulty Starcrossed in the Fireteam Finder

At this point, the only step left in Constellation: Lock is to complete the Starcrossed mission on Legend difficulty. I strongly recommend bringing a fireteam or using the Fireteam Finder feature, as the mission is hard enough normally. With all the Champions and power differential between you and every enemy on Legend, it’s much tougher.

Once Legend Starcrossed is done, you can collect your new Exotic Catalyst for Wish-Keeper. But otherwise, that’s how to find and complete the celestial anomaly in Constellation: Locked.
