The Warlock uses certain magic items better than other classes. With so many to choose from, I wanted to highlight those that have worked well for me, as well as some universally excellent Warlock choices. Here’s my list of the 10 best pieces of Warlock gear in Baldur’s Gate 3.
What are the 10 Best Warlock Magic Items In Baldur’s Gate 3?
10. Spidersilk Armour
The Spidersilk Armour is one of the best armor sets for Warlocks. You get decent AC with this gear, but more importantly, the armor gives you Advantage on Constitution saving throws. That includes Concentration for spells. Since Warlocks rely on getting the most out of their powerful concentration spells, this is a natural fit. Get it from Minthara as a drop in the Goblin Camp’s Shattered Sanctum.
9. Auntie Ethel’s Scalp and Birthright
As a Warlock, we want to maximize our Charisma. It fuels both our spells and melee attacks if we’re a Pact of the Blade Warlock. If you max out Charisma during character creation, you have 17 CON, and Auntie Ethel’s hair, which you get by defeating or accepting her surrender, bumps that to a solid 18. Later in Act 3, you can also buy the Birthright hat at the Sorcerous Sundries in Baldur’s Gate. It bumps your Charisma by an additional +2.
8. Circlet of Blasting
Fiend Warlocks or anyone who wants to blast should get Circlet of Blasting. You receive a free casting of Scorching Ray, which synergizes quite well with Hex. Each blast is boosted by 1d6. At the end of the day, any extra spell on Warlocks is welcome because of their low spell slot pool. Get this circlet from Blurg in the Myconid colony.
7. Spell Savant Amulet
Following the trend of extra spells on this list of best Warlock gear pieces in BG3, we have the Spell Savant Amulet. It confers an extra Level 2 spell slot. I use this to cast an extra Hex since I want to save my higher-level spell slots for more powerful spells. Loot it from the High Security Vault N1 in the Counting House.
6. Spellcrux Amulet
You can increase spell slots with the Spellcrux Amulet. It gives you an additional spell slot of any level per day. It’s a Bonus Action, too; you can use it in combat efficiently. The Watcher has it in the prison area of Moonrise Towers, and you can get it either as a drop or by pickpocketing it. I would just take care to restore the appropriate spell slot that you can use.
5. Caitiff Staff
The Caitiff Staff is a rare Warlock-specific staff but a deadly one. It boosts your spell save DC and spell attack rolls by +1, which is useful for your AoE spells and Eldritch Blast. More importantly, it restores a single Warlock spell slot of any level once per day. Combine this with the Spellcrux Amulet, and you’re essentially walking around with two extra highest-level spell slots. Buy it from Helsik in the Devil’s Fee.
4. The Baneful or Charge-Bound Warhammer
I ran a Pact of the Blade build for a while, and the Baneful and Charge-Bound Warhammer changed my life. Both are powerful melee weapons that only Bladelocks can use. The hammer is more powerful, but I recommend grabbing the Baneful since you can get it early if you’re going through the Underdark. Get the Baneful from Blurg in the Myconid Village and the Charge-Bound Warhammer from Dammon at the Last Light Inn.
3. Potent Robe
The Potent Robe makes your Eldritch Blast and other cantrips deal damage equal to your Charisma modifier. This stacks with Agonizing Blast, giving you a +10 to damage on each blast once you have Charisma 20. You’ll also get temporary hit points each turn and a +1 AC, making this one of the best chest options for Warlocks. It goes superbly on our Sorlock build. You receive it as a reward from Alfira after saving the Tieflings from Moonrise Towers in Act 2.
2. Staff of Spellpower
The following two options are universal for casters. The Staff of Spellpower boosts your spell save DC and attack rolls. More importantly, it allows you to cast an extra spell slot of your highest level for free once per long rest. Read our guide to find it.
1. Markoheshkir
The Markoheshkir is similar but drastically more powerful, granting you the same spell boosts and free spell casts with a twist. You can also get extra spells, resistance, and damage for an element of your choice. I highly recommend picking up the Dual Wielder feat to wield both this and the Staff of Spellpower simultaneously for double free casts and a massive boost to your spell DC and spell attack rolls. You can get it by following our guide here.
