It seems we have three new 3DS XL designs coming to us soon. Announced at the GameStop Expo 2014, the three new designs take inspiration from Super Smash Bros., Persona Q: Shadow of the Labyrinth, and the original NES.
The first design is a Super Smash Bros. 3DS XL. The design celebrates the upcoming release of the new Super Smash Bros. for the 3DS and Wii U. This model comes in two options: red and blue. The system goes on sale September 19th, and will be available for $199.99 at retailers nationwide. Though the handheld has the cast of the game emblazoned on it, it does not contain the game, as Super Smash Bros. does not release until October.
The second 3DS XL is a design that has already released in Japan. The system takes inspiration from Persona Q, and will release alongside the game on November 25th. This 3DS XL features the game’s Grimoire, as well as some character art. It will be a GameStop exclusive at $199.99. Once again, it does not include the game.
The final 3DS XL being released takes the idea the original NES system (seen above). The top of the system looks like a NES controller. The system is also a GameStop exclusive, and will run $199.99. You can pick it up on October 10th.
Nintendo announced the New 3DS and New 3DS XL recently. They will release in Japan on October 11th. There is still no word on an American release, so gamers will have these 3DS XL systems in the mean time.
