2024 Roadmap Revealed for The Outlast Trials

Therapy isn’t a one-and-done type of experience, and that’s especially true when we’re talking about Murkoff. Luckily, Red Barrels plans to continue modifying our treatment moving forward with updates and features. Here’s the content you can expect to see according to the 2024 roadmap for The Outlast Trials.

A Look at the The Outlast Trials 2024 Roadmap

The roadmap for 2024 is divided into three primary segments: Coming Soon, Summer 2024, and Future. Given the timeline, we can expect to see the Toxic Shock limited-time event, the Classified Event, new variators, new MK-Challenges, and new rewards from the Coming Soon category during Spring 2024. I find this to be great timing with the recent 1.0 update (which you can read my full thoughts on in my review here), and it’ll be a nice incentive to hop into the game while waiting for the start of Season 1.

Content Coming in Summer 2024

According to the roadmap, we can look forward to the start of Season 1 in Summer 2024. While it doesn’t list out full details of each piece of content coming, it does give us an idea regarding what we can look forward to. Additions include:

  • Trials
  • Prime Asset
  • New Rig
  • More Amps
  • Rewards
  • Events

Updates Beyond Summer 2024

Then, the last section includes more future plans, which probably won’t be seen until Fall 2024 at the earliest given the set-up of the roadmap. Like with the Summer 2024 section, we don’t get exact details. But here’s what we know will be added:

  • Daily/Weekly Tasks
  • Infinite Mode for Trials
  • New Game Mode
  • More New Trials
  • New Enemies
  • Rewards
  • And, of course, more Events

For the moment, that covers what we know about the 2024 roadmap for The Outlast Trials. Even after its full release, Red Barrels continues to expand and improve the content available in its latest title. I love seeing the dedication to their work, and can’t wait to see what they plan moving forward.
