Once again, poncle has decided to place a riddle in Vampire Survivors that rewards you with a secret character when you solve it. “Forsake victory in favour of sightseeing in Carlo Cart” is the riddle that might be unclear to many players, but I am here to help you solve it.

How to Unlock Gyoruntin, Secret Character in Vampire Survivors

This content is from the v1.10.102 patch, which is currently in public beta on Steam. You can freely access it by right-clicking Vampire Survivors in the Steam Library, going to Properties, Betas, and then opting in the “public-beta” branch, closing the dialogue and letting Steam update your game.

Gyoruntin is the new secret character that came to Vampire Survivors in the 1.10 patch. Let’s walk you through the unlock process step by step.

The first step requires you to unlock the Laborratory stage. If you are a Vampire Survivors veteran, you will probably have it immediately unlocked, but I’ve written helpful details for newer players as well.

After you unlock the Laborratory stage, you need to play it and unlock the “Carlo Cart” stage mentioned in the riddle. This process is not very difficult, and you’ll do it in one run on the stage in most cases.

The third and final step is to find the secret Coffin on the Carlo Cart stage in Vampire Survivors.

How to Find the Coffin in Carlo Cart Stage in Vampire Survivors

The solution to this riddle brings me back to my childhood and the many “cart” video games I’ve played. In this stage, your character is in a mine cart, and you’re “racing” from left to right, picking up speed power-ups, etc.

The “Forsake Victory in Favor of Sightseeing” part refers to players who ignore the rules of kart race games and go the opposite way just to have fun on their own and explore the stage. This is exactly what you must do to find the coffin on the Carlo Cart stage.

Keep going left (although it will seem to you that you’re just driving slower), and eventually, a coffin with a couple of Gyoruntons will pass you. Now is the time to speed up, catch up to the coffin, defeat all the Gyoruntons, and open up the coffin! A purple and green reaper also attacked me during this process, so there’s that to look out for as well.

What Is the Gyoruntin’s Ability in Vampire Survivors?

Gyoruntin’s starting weapon (NO SOLACE) grows stronger when Gyoruntin levels up. Gyoruntin gains +%1 of Curse debuff at every Level Up you achieve, which makes your run progressively more challenging. And finally, Gyoruntin ignores walls. Yay, free noclip hack! Gyoruntin will cost you up to 40,000 Gold, so hopefully, you’ve done the grind before this content update.
