If you’re exploring around Lukki Lair, you’ll most likely come across Ominous Liquid pools and wonder what they are. Let’s just say I wouldn’t recommend stepping into them for several reasons. Here’s everything you need to know about Ominous Liquid in Noita.
Ominous Liquid in Noita Explained
Ominous Liquids are hazardous pools of Poison-like liquid that you can spot by their dark purple color. They’re found in Lukki Lair, which is east of the Snow Chams Wizard’s Den biome and west of the Underground Jungle biome. For all intents and purposes, you can treat Ominous Liquid like Poison with the following differences:
- Ominous Liquid doesn’t evaporate while Poison does, so it’ll stick around in pools indefinitely.
- It’s only found in the Lukki Lair biome as a puddle.
- Slime Maggots and Shadow Bubbles will bleed Ominous Liquid.
Similar to Poison, if you touch or consume Ominous Liquid in Noita, you’ll get the Poisoned effect. The effect lasts 10 seconds for ingestion or until you leave the pool if you touch it.
While Ominous Liquid doesn’t evaporate by itself, I found artificial ways to do it via spells. Mainly, I found that you can evaporate Omnious Liquid with a Plasma Beam spell. You can also do it with Paha Silmä’s plasma beam, which can be found in the Snowy Wasteland and random chests.
Lastly, Ominous Liquid can be the outcome of a Fungal Reality Shift, which can be very dangerous if you don’t know how it works. Just in case, always be ready to evaporate it in some way. That said, you can even use it to your benefit if you get it as a random material potion from Treasure Chests and Great Treasure Chests.
