On December 5th, 343 Industries announced that Halo: Spartan Strike would be delayed. Instead of being released on December 12th, the game will now come out in early 2015. It seems like 2014 really is the Year of Game Delays.

Halo: Spartan Strike is the sequel of Halo: Spartan Assault. Like its predecessor, Spartan Strike is a top-down touch-based shooter. The game will have 30 missions and your achievements will make more content available in Halo: The Master Chief Edition, which launched on November 11th.

The game launch is delayed due to the gameplay errors in Halo: The Master Chief Edition. 343 Industries head Bonnie Ross wrote a letter to Halo players apologizing for the experience.

With the initial release of Halo: The Master Chief Collection, however, we have not delivered the experience you deserve. Our team is committed to working around the clock until these issues are resolved.

Apparently the long matchmaking times and low session success rates have not been a quick fix, causing Halo: Spartan Strike to be pushed on the backburner. 343 Industries is focusing on Halo: The Master Chief Edition before all else.

However, we are told that Halo: Spartan Strike will be available on Windows 8, Windows Phone 8, and Steam sometime early next year. Are you irritated by the delay or relieved that The Master Chief Collection is getting fixed?
