Captain of Industry: Top 10 Best Mods List

Captain of Cheats Mod

If you don’t want to mess around with complicated console commands, then I strongly recommend downloading the Captain of Cheats mod by altmank. It adds a simple menu to the game, which can be summoned by pressing the F8 key. There, you can easily add or remove various functions, including product quantities, free power, research unlocks, vehicle capacities, and many other cool features.

CoI Mod Better

Imagine if you could easily produce any product or destroy it without any emissions or pollution effects. If you like the idea, then be sure to get the CoI Mod Better by Wehmeyer100. With the help of this mod’s Void Producer, I can put into production any amount of liquid or products that I wish. Similarly, I can use the Void Destroyer to get rid of any waste or leftovers with no penalties whatsoever.

Double QoL Mod

Not all mods need to be massive exploitation tools. Some mods, such as Double QoL by DoubleMa, simply offer to improve the quality of your gameplay by adding cool little features. For example, here you can control the speed of your gameplay, enable free camera mode, disable map fog, and many other small but very important details. One of my personal favorites is the Vehicle Tool, which allows me to select and move vehicles around the map.

Unpowered Balancers Mod

Every single machine in Captain of Industry requires power to run. The biggest offenders in this department are the balancer and sorter machines. But here’s the Unpowered Balancers mod by NotoriousPyro, which adds four different types of balancers and two types of sorters that need absolutely no power to run indefinitely. I discovered that you do need to have at least Conveyor Belts III and Pipes III to make these work. But it’s definitely worth it!

Difficulty Settings Mod

Captain of Industry is a hard game, to begin with, but what if you could make it a lot harder or much easier if need be? The Difficulty Settings mod by KptKosmit91 allows you to adjust the difficulty of your gameplay at any point in the game using simple percentages. As soon as you feel that you’re getting bored, you can try to increase the difficulty by 190% or more. If you want things to run a bit smoother, then lower it to 30%-40%.

Waste Management Mod

Waste is one of the biggest problems that players have to deal with in Captain of Industry. That’s why a mod like Waste Management by NotoriousPyro exists in the first place. This mod adds an entire Incineration Plant to the game that burns away all your waste with no consequences. The process is very simple, as it turns all your waste, regardless of its type, into water, which then turns into steam, which then evaporates as CO2 into the atmosphere.

Deep Mining Mod

If you don’t have trouble managing your waste but can’t get production on the rails, be sure to download and use the Deep Mining mod by DellAquila. Simply adding this library to your game files will spawn all the basic resources in the game in as many instances as you need, including iron, copper, gold, limestone, quartz, wood, etc.

Captain Party Mod

The development team behind the game has clearly stated that they’re not interested in the multiplayer aspect of the game. But Captain of Industry would be so much more fun in co-op mode. Fortunately, there’s a brand-new Captain Party mod by FoxCouncil, which adds a cooperative component to the game. Be sure to carefully read the instructions before attempting to play the game with your friends on a local network.

Blueprint Calculator Mod

Are you tired of making calculation mistakes in your blueprints? Then, here’s the Blueprint Calculator mod by doubleaxe, which will help you figure out your numbers in a completely safe environment. Here, you can add any items you want, link them together, and assign priorities and objectives. You can either automate all the processes or set everything manually. It’s up to you!

Trades Maker Mod

Lastly, here’s the mod for anyone who feels that figuring out trades is too time-consuming. The Trades Maker mod by afirpo is designed to calculate all the quick trades in a simple data sheet, showing you the summary of all deals almost instantly. It’s a really simple mod that any player can easily set up and use to their advantage.

That’s it for my list of the top 10 best Captain of Industry mods. Stay tuned for more CoI tips and tricks articles right here.
