There are things out there for those of us that love fighting games and for those of us that love Pokémon, and there’s something out there for the people who fit both categories: Pokken Tournament.
Since Pokken Tournament’s official announcement back in 2014, not much about the game has really been revealed.
In a recent Famitsu live stream broadcast, several new playable characters for Pokken Tournament were confirmed. Joining Lucario and Machamp in the game’s roster are Suicune, Gardevoir, and Pikachu.
Several support characters were also seen during the live stream broadcast. Snivy and Lapras are confirmed as a support set, as well as Emolga and Fennekin.
At the moment the entire roster of playable characters has yet to be confirmed but, as with most fighting games, characters can always be added later.
Pokken Tournament will first be released during 2015 in Japanese arcades. Players in the Famitsu live stream were using devices like Wii U pro controllers, which may be a hint at the possibility at a home console release.
