For those of us that were waiting to chop up more watermelons, it turns out that wait might be shorter than we believed.
A Neogaf user spotted something at the 2015 Taipei Game Show’s stream. During a Sony sizzle reel, there was a brief flash of a number 2 stylized like Metal Gear Rising’s logo.
The teaser is seen on the Taipei Game Show’s Twitch stream at 2:46:40, during The Order: 1866‘s part of the sizzle reel.
Hideo Kojima, Metal Gear’s creator, was at the show, but he didn’t talk about Rising. However, Hideo Kojima has been in contact with the guys at Platinum Games, the studio who created the first Metal Gear Rising. Most recently, Kojima was tweeting about meeting with Platinum Game’s president, Minami.
Also in 2013, Konami posted a survey asking fans about their opinion on Metal Gear Rising, even having suggestions about a sequel.
So this all may point to the sequel to the 2013 hit, or it may all mean nothing. After all, Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance‘s sequel has yet to officially be confirmed by Sony, Platinum Games, or even by Hideo Kojima himself, but the 2 stylized in a very reminiscent way is something that gives fans hope.
