You determine how your character and their unique mask look in the character creation in Soulmask. However, along the way, you’ll recruit a lot of other Tribesmen as well. While these Tribesmen can be very powerful, they can also look goofy. Here’s how you customize your or your Tribesmen’s appearance.
How to Change Characters’ Appearance in Soulmask
If you happen to change your mind about your own character’s appearance or recruit some very ugly Tribesmen, don’t worry. There is a way to change the way they look. However, note that you cannot change their main features: body shape, skin color, or facial structure. You can change their hair, tattoos, and the mask.
To begin changing an appearance, you’ll first need a Decor Table. You can unlock the crafting recipe for it within your Knowledge & Technology menu. It’s within the Dawn of the New Tribe category under Mask Technique. With this unlocked, you can craft the Decor Table on a Building Workshop. Here’s what you’ll need to make it:
- Hardwood Planks x19
- Ceramic Mold x4
- Hardwood Handle x5
Once you craft it, place it down anywhere in your camp. Now, you approach it and interact with it to start customizing your character.
Within the table, you can change the character’s hairstyle, add tattooing with pigments, and, most importantly, customize your mask. You can unlock more hairstyles and tattoos by recruiting the Tribesmen with the additional styles.
How to Make Mask Accessories
There are tons of different mask accessories to make at the table. To craft them, switch over to the Inventory tab and transfer the items to the table. Then, you can select the one you want and press Unlock. Here are all your options:

How to Change Tribesmen Appearance
If you want to change the appearance of one of your Tribesmen, you’ll need to take control of them. This is done by unlocking the Mask Repair Node: Control (right above the Core Functional Module). Then, approach the Tribesmen you want to change, hold E for options, and press Control.
When you’re controlling them, you can move them and interact with things just like your main character. So, to change their appearance, approach the table with them, and you can make the same choices you did with your main.
